We at StrategyWorks are drawn to the creativity and uniqueness of each and every person with whom we come in contact
Although none of us are perfect (on the contrary) we have seen that people are more creative than we generally allow.
We believe that each person with whom we work has the capacity to deal with each situation facing them in a way that is creative, unique and appropriate.
We also believe that each client in coaching or facilitation wants clarity, not solutions from the coach. The brain that holds the problem has the solution. In all of our work we have learnt to live and work through the void in which each part of the input seems to bring more confusion. We have seen this often. Every time the structure emerges, and with it, options for solutions.
Some of the principles supporting our work with clients are:
Context
We are sometimes contracted by organisations to coach members of staff. In these situations my role as coach includes managing the expectations of the sponsor as well as the coaching client.
Competence and boundary management
As coach I am aware of the subjects you as client raise in coaching. My role is to review whether the topic is appropriate to our contract. I also keep a view on whether the subject lies within my competence as coach.
Professionalism
My role in coaching is to work towards the independence of my clients. My intention is always to maximise your effectiveness in the areas in which we have agreed to work.
As part of this professionalism I maintain the confidentiality of our work.
